As the upcoming bond election approaches, it’s important to understand how this proposal aligns with the district’s core mission of improving student outcomes. Under the leadership of the Board of Managers (BOM) and our new superintendent, the district has placed a renewed focus on academic success, equity, and preparing students for future opportunities. The bond proposal is a key part of ensuring that these goals are met.

Creating Safe and Modern Learning Environments

One of the most significant aspects of the bond proposal is its focus on updating school facilities to provide modern, safe, and equitable learning environments. With the last major rebuilds for elementary and middle schools in 2007 and high schools in 2012, many of our campuses need upgrades to support 21st-century learning.

Supporting the District’s Mission to Improve Student Outcomes

The bond proposal is aligned with the district’s long-term mission to improve student achievement across all campuses. Under the leadership of the Board of Managers and the superintendent, the bond includes funding for several key areas. It allocates resources for the renovation of classrooms to create updated, safe, and adaptable learning environments. Additionally, the bond provides support for College and Career Readiness initiatives, including Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and technology improvements in classrooms. The bond also includes funding for security enhancements to ensure safer school environments. These areas are intended to support the district’s overall goals for student success.

Preventing Further State Intervention Through Leadership

The state-appointed Board of Managers (BOM) and the new superintendent were brought in to address critical challenges, including improving student outcomes and ensuring compliance with state regulations. This bond proposal is directly aligned with their responsibility to lead the district toward stability, prevent further state intervention, and improve overall academic performance. By investing in student success now—through safe, modern learning environments and equitable access to resources—we support the district’s mission to meet these state-imposed goals.

A Comprehensive Investment in Student Success

This bond proposal is not just about infrastructure—it is about investing in the future of our students. By creating modern, safe, and equitable learning environments, the bond helps ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed. The bond aligns directly with the district’s goals of improving student outcomes, fostering equity, and preparing students for the future.
